: Today we want to highlight a certain upcoming event and the people behind it. ✨ Scottish Summit ✨ a Microsoft Cloud Community event that is held annually in Glasgow (usually at the end of February).
 +
: Here's an interview with the co-founders Mark Christie and Iain Connoly [https://cloudblogs.microsoft.com/industry-blog/en-gb/technetuk/2021/02/11/bringing-the-diversity-of-scottish-summit-online/ Bringing the diversity of Scottish Summit online]. What is special with this event is that is has a really cool history of starting as a smaller event and it grew and grew to what it is today - THE event that you cannot miss. From an idea in 2018 and they were told that a maximum of 10 people probably would show up to more than 1000 attendee registrations and more than 100 speakers for the in-person event in 2020. It was a virtual event in 2021 and will be back as an in-person event in 2022! Call for Speakers is still open, this is your chance to come and present in Scotland and to meet and network with really great people. Everyone is welcome. There is a session track for Accessibility and they take extra care of new speakers as well! There are new speakers allocated slots and a possibility for new speakers to get a mentor.
